Cast your line and reel in a great time at the Belleview Youth Fishing Derby 2026! This beloved annual event returns on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Lake Lillian in Belleview, FL. Free and open to children ages 15 and under, this is one of the most anticipated family events of the spring season.
A Morning of Fishing, Fun & Friendly Competition
The Belleview Youth Fishing Derby is the perfect way to introduce kids to the joys of fishing — or let experienced young anglers show off their skills! Whether your child is picking up a rod for the first time or has been fishing for years, they are guaranteed a great morning on the water.
Lake Lillian is stocked annually by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission with catfish and bass, giving every young angler a real shot at landing something big.
What to Expect
- 🎣 Bait provided — just show up and fish!
- 🏆 Prizes awarded in two categories: biggest fish and most fish caught
- 🍔 Free community cookout hosted by the Belleview Police Department following the derby
- 👮 A fun, safe, community-centered atmosphere for the whole family

- ⏰ 8:00 a.m. — Check-in opens
- 🎣 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. — Fishing Derby
- 🍔 12:00 p.m. — Awards ceremony & free community cookout at the Community Center
